What is DrumConnection?

DrumConnection is a drumming school and musical drum shop focused on traditional African rhythms and hand drumming. We combine music, culture, and community through classes, workshops, instrument sales, and performance opportunities.

We primarily teach West African drumming, including djembe and dunun rhythms, drawing from traditions in Guinea, Mali, Ghana, and other regions. Our instruction also includes the cultural history and movement connected to these rhythms.

No experience is necessary. Our classes are suitable for beginners through advanced players—everyone is welcome.

We offer various classes including beginner hand-drumming, Friday night djembe/dunun classes, private lessons, kids’ classes, and special workshops featuring master drummers.

You can register online through our class registration form or contact us directly for specific workshop sign-ups.
